Bullseye for taste with beef tomatoes
People often describe the flavour of our tomatoes as having ‘that typically delicious tomato taste’, even though they are not a snack tomato variety. The beef tomato is a genuine all-rounder in terms of nutrition. The relatively few seeds make it a somewhat dry, practical tomato that is not overly sweet. Those traits make beef tomatoes ideal for many popular dishes like pasta sauces and soups. The dry structure of beef tomatoes is also an advantage if served in a roll with a hamburger, or on a cheese sandwich - no one likes soggy bread! Another tip I can suggest to use large beef tomatoes is to grill them with an egg plant on the BBQ, or stuff them with rice or minced meat.
